University admissions in China are too murky; universities help students improve their grades.

Recently, a teacher from the School of Geomatics at Xi'an University of Science and Technology reported that after the final grades for the courses he taught were released, the parent of a student named Chen, who failed the course, demanded that the student's grades be modified, citing 'affecting the child's future' and 'creating a stain', and verbally threatened the teacher. Relevant personnel from the school also mentioned multiple times that this parent 'has connections' and demanded that the teacher change the grades.

At the same time, in order to modify the grades for another student, Wang, who failed the makeup exam, Instructor Zhang handwrote an explanation to change their failing grade to a passing one. Currently, the identity of the parents involved in the incident is being withheld by the school, indicating a highly dubious situation.
